Select your PC version:

If you want to install and use the HelloTalk — Language Learning app on your PC or Mac, you will need to download and install a Desktop App emulator for your computer. We have worked diligently to help you understand how to use this app for your computer in 4 simple steps below:

Step 1: Download an Android emulator for PC and Mac

Ok. First things first. If you want to use the application on your computer, first visit the Mac store or Windows AppStore and search for either the Bluestacks app or the Nox App >> . Most of the tutorials on the web recommends the Bluestacks app and I might be tempted to recommend it too, because you are more likely to easily find solutions online if you have trouble using the Bluestacks application on your computer. You can download the Bluestacks Pc or Mac software Here >> .

Step 2: Install the emulator on your PC or Mac

Now that you have downloaded the emulator of your choice, go to the Downloads folder on your computer to locate the emulator or Bluestacks application.
Once you have found it, click it to install the application or exe on your PC or Mac computer.
Now click Next to accept the license agreement.
Follow the on screen directives in order to install the application properly.
If you do the above correctly, the Emulator app will be successfully installed.

Step 3: for PC — Windows 7/8 / 8.1 / 10 / 11

Now, open the Emulator application you have installed and look for its search bar. Once you found it, type HelloTalk — Language Learning in the search bar and press Search. Click on HelloTalk — Language Learningapplication icon. A window of HelloTalk — Language Learning on the Play Store or the app store will open and it will display the Store in your emulator application. Now, press the Install button and like on an iPhone or Android device, your application will start downloading. Now we are all done.
You will see an icon called «All Apps».
Click on it and it will take you to a page containing all your installed applications.
You should see the icon. Click on it and start using the application.

Step 4: for Mac OS

The steps to use HelloTalk — Language Learning for Mac are exactly like the ones for Windows OS above. All you need to do is install the Nox Application Emulator or Bluestack on your Macintosh. The links are provided in step one

How to download and install HelloTalk on Windows 11

To use mobile apps on your Windows 11, you need to install the Amazon Appstore. Once it’s set up, you’ll be able to browse and install mobile apps from a curated catalogue. If you want to run android apps on your Windows 11, this guide is for you.

Steps to setup your pc and download HelloTalk app on Windows 11:

Check if your computer is compatible: Here are the minimum requirements:
- RAM: 8GB (minimum), 16GB (recommended)
- Storage: SSD
- Processor:
  - Intel Core i3 8th Gen (minimum or above)
  - AMD Ryzen 3000 (minimum or above)
  - Qualcomm Snapdragon 8c (minimum or above)
- Processor Architecture: x64 or ARM64
Check if HelloTalk already has a native Windows version here ». If there is no native version, proceed to step 3.
Install the Amazon Appstore from the Microsoft Store here ». Selecting «Get» will begin the installation of the App and will automatically install Windows Subsystem for Android too.
After installation, the Amazon Appstore and the Windows Subsystem for Android Settings app will appear in the Start menu and your apps list. Open the Amazon Appstore and login with your Amazon account.
Go to the Amazon App store and search for «HelloTalk». Open the app page by clicking the app icon. Click «Install». After installation, Click «Open» to start using the HelloTalk app.

To find HelloTalk Android app on Windows 11 after you install it, Go to Start menu » Recommended section. If you can’t find the HelloTalk app there, click on «All apps» next to the pinned section in the Start menu and scroll through the list.

Overall good!

I have used this app for over two years now. I think this app is a great idea, and overall implemented very well. I use Hellotalk to practice Japanese, and find that overall people are courteous and honestly want to learn. I quite like the Moments function, and in my experience people use it to share pictures of where they live, or ask many people for language corrections, which is great. Now, there are many superfluous posts like “ Please teach me English. ”, but I think it is a small price to pay. I do wish that Moments allowed for video posting, though. Many times there are short clips of concerts or scenery that I would love to share with people. As for sexual harassment, whenever it has happened, it is generally handled quickly in my experience. However, I do know of a few notorious people that keep rejoining the app despite being blocked many times. There is not much that can be done for those people, but hopefully they will learn someday. There are some people that are more interested in finding a foreign girlfriend/ boyfriend, but it is easy to find these people and kindly decline or misdirect them. I have had this issue on an off, but sometimes my app will show unread messages, but I cannot see them. Before I would have to delete and redownload to fix it, but as of today when it did it I was able to fix it by closing and reopening the app. It isn’t a huge inconvenience, but a bit annoying at times.

Amazing app, but.

I have had pretty good experiences so far with this app. I bought premium soon after downloading it, and have gotten new people to talk to just about every day. Everything works just as intended, and I think this is a great way to practice Japanese and meet new people in my free time. Now for the one downside. I haven’t quite figured it out, but there seems to be some sort of major delay between sending messages, the server picking them up, and them being delivered. I have never been able to have a conversation that felt normally paced through text because messages just refuse to be read until a few minutes past when they were sent. I haven’t used the feature yet, but I’m sure voice calls will fix this, although they are a bit more inconvenient. There is one more concern I have about this, and that’s business practices. Seen as there are warnings about what kinds of messages and activities you can partake in all over the app, and there is no sign of a privacy policy in the app and website I question if these messages are being sent to a server, saved, and scanned before they are actually sent. But, that is just me being concerned about internet privacy, so don’t take it as anything agains the company. Anyways, to conclude, this app is great for people looking to practice and learn language skills with native speakers, but may have some delay issues in text chats.

Network errors and issues but otherwise great app

Love the potential of the app and met some really good people however as of late I have been getting frequent crashes and apparently some people (not all) had been able to contact me for about 30 days and thought I was disconnected. As of today constant network errors (really bad since the last update) until finally I was considered completely disconnected and unable to do anything despite getting a few messages in return yet unable to send or view any myself (but could still see the message previews on the iphone home screen). Now having tried clearing cache and doing all the network stuff on my end, I decided to try reinstalling (after hard copying the ids of friends should I need to create a whole new account). Now I cannot log into Hellotalk as it seems my password was entered incorrectly too many times even though I just reset it once. I’ll see what happens after the needed 24 hour wait period to try again. It’s a shame as I loved helping others learn, meeting people from other countries, and sharing culture. Edit: thanks Hellotalk team, the issues were solved and thank you for the timely responses

This app is so totally awesome ❤️❤️❤️. Finally a new way to learn languages that isn’t just taking boring classes. It’s a perfect modern way to learn languages, cultures and make friends from all over the world I’m learning Japanese on this app and now I have tons of friends from Japan and other countries,( I’ve been really good friends with a girl from Ageria, and a boy from the U.S too ever since I started this app ) It’s amazing being able to talk to people your age from all over the world about your hobies, and even help each other with their school work , and it doesn’t matter what language you speak ! The translation function on this app is super accurate . Also, I really enjoy the fact this app is very secure and you don’t have to worry about cyber bullying or harassment or inappropriate language or anything! Seriously, this is my favorite app ever. I learnt so many things about the Japanese language and their culture ( one girl even thought me how to make Mochi cookies ) Thank you sooooo much HelloTalk .

Всем привет. Хочу завести домашнее животное. Рассматриваю следующие варианты:

1. Хомячок. Они прикольные, но говорят много жрут, а срут еще больше. Из минусов живут не долго и умирают не своей смертью.

2. Кошка. Боюсь будет аллергия, у моего внучатого племянника аллергия на кошек.

Из плюсов — не надо выгуливать. Из минусов — может подрать диван Гамсовской работы.

3. Собака. Собака это не кошка. Выгуливать надо, но это даже положительная сторона — меньше за компом сидеть буду. Из минусов — точно сгрызет диван Гамсовской работы.

4. Крокодил. Кто нибудь держал крокодила в квартире? Говорят их яйца вкусные. Кто нибудь пробовал? Как часто несется? Сильно ли кукарекает по утрам? На сколько у него большая пасть? Не проглотит ли мой любимый диван Гамсовской работы?
